HIGHCLERE RACING AUSTRALIA'S WEEKLY NEWS
12/4/22
This week has been a quieter week for Highclere Racing Australia, but things will certainly heat up with both Olympic Theatre and Grinling running against each other at Hawkesbury tomorrow. Grinling is still learning about Australian racing, having only had the one Australian start, so his is more an educational run and with the track slightly drier Olympic Theatre should appreciate some firmer footing, although we have to hope the rain holds off. We wish both horses and their connections the best of luck. These will be the first runners for Highclere and the new training partnership Richard and Will Freedman, which is very exciting.
As mentioned last week we have a number of horses that won’t be far off hitting the track. Hint of Stars with Matt Cumani is due for a trial in the coming weeks as is the Highland Reel Filly and Armageddon with Bjorn Baker. Everyone’s favourite Bartholomeu Dias is enjoying his new environment at Annabel Nesham’s stables and Korolev had a very easy jump out, which please the Ciaron Maher Racing stable, although being by Pariah he does need time to mature and will go out for a spell and come back a much better horse in the latter part of the year.
Great House managed to have a bit of luck and enjoyed some sunshine while out of a little break, but was back in the stable as the weather turned. He will be prepared for the Queensland Carnival, which should be better suited to him after the very wet Sydney Carnival changed his plans.
We will be back next week with all the news from Highclere Racing Australia, but in the meantime make sure you like and follow us on our socials to stay up to date on runners and news throughout the week!
