HIGHCLERE WEEKLY NEWS
10/5/2022
This week at Highclere Racing Australia saw Great House return to the racetrack in the Gosford Gold Cup. Running second with Brenton Avdulla in the saddle was a great result, there is plenty of room for improvement and although heading up to the Queensland Carnival the races will get harder, with the fitness gained from the run, we expect another competitive performance, although we will need the rain to stay away.
Bartholomeu Dias has had 2 nice trials and will resume Saturday week when he will be having his first start for the Annabel Neasham stable.
Durston has arrived in the Waller stable, he has done some fantastic pre-training work and will be taken along slowly but all going well we are looking to see him return in a couple of months’ time. The form around his last start is very good so we can’t wait to see what he can do.
The Highland Reel Filly will soon have a name, meaning her racing career is set to start. She continues to please the Bjorn Baker yard who can’t believe how well she looks this preparation, she has grown and developed into a strong well-balanced filly and it looks like very exciting times to come. There are actually still a few shares left in her ownership and now is the perfect time to get involved and head to the racetrack in the very near future.
We will be back next week with all the news from Highclere Racing Australia, but in the meantime make sure you like and follow us on our socials to stay up to date on runners and news throughout the week!
