CHRIS WALLER
Chris has made a name for himself as not only Australia's premier trainer, but the man best known for taking European imports and achieving success at the highest level. In the 2012/2013 season, Chris won the Sydney metropolitan and NSW Trainers Premierships and in doing so, the stable broke a record set by Australian Racing Hall of Fame inductees Tommy Smith and Gai Waterhouse. Chris has won the Premiership every year since, and broke his own record for number of winners in a season for the most recent 2015/2016 season, which was headlined by Australian Horse of the Year, Winx.
Chris has delivered exceptional success for Highclere in recent years in Australia, winning the Group 1 Metropolitan Handicap with Opinion in 2014 and managing 2015/16 NSW Champion Stayer, Libran, who accumulated $730,000 in prizemoney for his owners this season and went within a length of claiming the Gr1 Sydney Cup.
